Kabi Golf Club's Brendan Scarse receiving their ecoBiz Partner certificate from former Minister Jones

Kabi Golf Club on the Sunshine Coast has discontinued their use of synthetic fertilisers and become the first Australian golf course to be certified Organic by the Biological Farmers' Association.  Kabi Golf Club was created to provide a place for recreation that also preserves the environment.  The golf club combines farm land, wildlife habitats, a fruit orchard and a 18-hole golf course.  Kabi Golf Club's project (PDF, 162K)* aims are to be self-sufficient and it uses fruit and vegetables from their farm for the clubhouse meals. Waterless toilets and water storage processes on site have eliminated the use of potable water. Read the Kabi Golf Club case study for more information.
