JJ Richards & Sons is a waste management company. They instigated a range of eco-efficiency measures at their head office in Cleveland, including identifying and rectifying a large water pipe leak and installing water-efficient appliances. The company also saved energy by reducing air-conditioning demand with tinted windows, and staff education in resource conservation.
Annual Savings:
- Energy 27% (8 Queenland homes or 442,288 MJ)
- Greenhouse Gas 27% (33 cars or 130 t CO2-e)
- Potable water 77% (1,553 kL)
- Waste disposal 4% (11 wheelie bins or 3 m3)
