Under Section 46 of the Queensland Heritage Act 1992 owners of heritage registered places may apply for an exemption certificate for certain types of development. Any other types of development, for which the exemptions do not apply, require assessment under Section 44 of the Act through the submission of an IDAS application (Part C).
