Third party reviewer
The department has developed a framework for administering Third Party Review (TPR) processes for contaminated land management to ensure that contaminated site assessments and remediation proposals are reviewed and certified by suitably qualified and independent professionals.
This framework sets out the Terms of Reference for Third Party Review. All interested parties should read and understand the department's requirements outlined in the Terms of Reference for TPR policy. This document includes the obligations that must be complied with by third party reviewers.
These requirements are consistent with Schedule B10 of the National Environment Protection (Assessment of Site Contamination) Measure endorsed by the National Environment Protection Council in 1999.
