Proposed registration of Aboriginal cultural heritage bodies
In accordance with section 36(1) of the Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Act 2003 the Minister may, on the application of a corporation, register the corporation as an Aboriginal cultural heritage body for an area.
The function of an Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Body is to identify, pursuant to the Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Act 2003, the Aboriginal parties for the area or for a particular part of the area.
The following corporations have submitted an application for registration as an Aboriginal cultural heritage body. The maps indicate the area subject to the application.
