Cultural heritage grants program
The Department of Environment and Resource Management (DERM) administers the cultural heritage grants program to help preserve Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural heritage in Queensland.
DERM offers assistance under two funding arrangements:
Cultural heritage grants program
The cultural heritage grants provide limited financial assistance of up to $15 000 towards projects aiming to preserve Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural heritage sites and areas in Queensland.
This grant is open to any person or organisation seeking to help preserve Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural heritage.
Cultural heritage body grants program
The cultural heritage body grants provide financial assistance of up to $10 000 to registered cultural heritage bodies in Queensland. The purpose of this grant is to help cultural heritage bodies fulfil their legislative responsibilities under the Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Act 2003 and Torres Strait Islander Cultural Heritage Act 2003.
This grant is only available to registered cultural heritage bodies in Queensland.
Applications for the cultural heritage grants have now closed.

Indigenous Heritage Program Commonwealth Department of the Environment and Water Resources
The Indigenous Heritage Program is an Australian Government initiative, which provides funding to support projects that identify, conserve and promote the Indigenous heritage values of places important to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
