Environment and Resource Management

Air reports and plans

In this section users can find reports on the historical air quality in Queensland, reports on how air quality meets National Environment Protection Measure for Ambient Air Quality (Air NEPM) goals and the Ambient air quality plan for Queensland which outlines the monitoring that will take place to assess compliance with the Air NEPM in Queensland.

There are also monthly bulletins of air quality in south-east, central and northern Queensland and reports of specific investigations undertaken by the Air Quality Sciences branch of the Department of Environment and Resource Management.

There are links to information and reports about the more extensive programs such as Clean and Healthy Air for Gladstone and the MIM Panel Assessment Study.

Emissions of pollutants are also covered in the Air emissions inventory, a document that estimates the sources and quantities of air pollutants in South East Queensland for the year 2000 with projections for 2005 and 2011. Sources include motor vehicles, industry and area-based burning and biogenic emissions.
