DERM Annual Report March–June 2009

The annual report details the financial and non-financial performance of the Department of Environment and Resource Management (DERM) from 27 March to 30 June 2009. It highlights the department’s work, achievements and initiatives, and satisfies the requirements of Queensland’s Financial Administration and Audit Act 1977.

The report also details progress against the 2008 strategic plans of the former Department of Natural Resources and Water (NRW) and the former Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

The annex reports on four pieces of legislation administered by the department—Environmental Protection Act, Nature Conservation Act, Marine Parks Act, and Water Supply (Safety and Reliability) Act. It also includes the annual report and financial statements for Newstead House, prepared by its Board of Trustees.
