Environment and Resource Management

Budget

The Department of Environment and Resource Management (DERM) has a $1.043 billion budget for 2009–10. The ‘green’ and ‘strong’ ambitions of the Queensland Government’s Towards Q2: Tomorrow’s Queensland initiative, which aims to preserve our lifestyle and environment and make Queensland Australia’s strongest economy, will underpin DERM’s wide-ranging priorities for the period.

Service Delivery Statement

The Service Delivery Statement (SDS) (PDF)* gives an overview of DERM’s key strategies for managing the environmental and resource management challenges facing the state in 2009–10. It also provides details of agency outputs and financial statements, and reflects on some of the achievements of 2008–09.

The SDS is the primary source of information for the hearings of the Parliamentary Estimates Committee, and is a useful resource for Members of Parliament, the media and the public.
